okay so a quick note, I have finals this week and next week.  So what this means is that I probably won't be doing a story every day, and if i do post one it'll be short and sweet, like this one was.

shout out to KungPao: I like the traffic light, but i thought it lit up. my bad. but it gave me an idea.
In the future if anyone sees a lit traffic light on my blog,
green means I am not busy and will be updating frequently,
yellow means i am busy to with work or school but will try to post (like it would be now)
red means don't expect an article, though i probably would give  a quick post to explain why its red.

and that's all for today. hope everyone enjoys their week and all you college students out their stop slacking and study! You don't want to flunk out after spending all that tuition money do you?

Jaguar C-X75 prototype

This interestingly shaped piece is the Jaguar C-X75 CONCEPT.

It is publicized as a "range-extended electric supercar".
  • 2,970-pound
  • zero to 62 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds.
  • two 96-horsepower micro gas turbines with one li-ion battery pack.
  • four 195-horsepower electric motors (one at each wheel)  =780 horsepower
  • 1,187 pound-feet of torque.
  • Top speed is pegged at 205 mph
  • batteries for 68 miles before the twin turbines kick in and extend the range to 560 miles

Stylin'

Wicked interior. I love blue lighting..
  • The body resting above all those electrons is aluminum, with swan doors allowing entry to the leather-lined cabin.
  • The seats inside are fixed, with the steering wheel, instruments and pedals moving to accommodate the driver.
  • Three high-res TFT screens present driver information, with readouts and displays switchable between all of the screens.
The body looks much better from a top down view.
My only real problem with the car. The bumper is non-existent.

Jaguar has this to say about the genesis of the C-X75 Concept, "The aim was to produce not only the most innovative but also one of the most beautiful Jaguars ever; one which hints at an exciting evolution of the marque's award-winning design language while paying homage to some of its most admired cars of years gone by."

Unfortunately, the C-X75 Concept is just that, a concept. There are no plans to make it for the market.
With the turbine design and interior's uniqueness, The C-X75 has earned a place on my dream car list.

skateboard car (short weekend post)

Well this is really interesting. I guess it would just be like how everyone buys an Iphone, then it becomes unique to each person as they add apps and customizations to fit their preferences. It would be amazing to not have to worry about buying gas (more money for food...). However, I don't see this (or anything like it) becoming available any time soon. Probably not even mainstream in my lifetime.  No company is going to produce it, as the average person will not be able to afford it and, unfortunately, no large company will do anything that doesn't turn a profit.

Sorry if the video isn't loading. It's not liking me for some reason.

Favorite Car

Growing up I've had many "dream cars". Cars that were fast and sexy.  My dream cars have consisted of the expensive Tesla Sport to the affordable Mustang models.  But never will a car take the place of my all time favorite, the Stingray Corvette.  I just love the way the body style hugs the chassis and the engine's roar as it comes to life.  Unfortunately, I lack the funds to ever buy one that is in decent condition or to ever restore one. BUT! there is a new version being released soon, and it will be featured in the upcoming Transformer's movie. Just gotta keep on dreaming I guess.
