New Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

lamborghini worth £1.7m can't be driven on roads

From the Dailyrecord.co.uk:

LAMBORGHINI have launched the world's most expensive car - but it can't be driven on public roads.
The £1.77million  Sesto Elemento has a top speed of more than 200mph.
But to produce such power, Lamborghini have bypassed the normal measures needed to make the supercar road legal, leaving it a millionaire's track toy.
It has a 5.2-litre V10 engine and, with a carbon fibre body, weighs less than a tonne.
The car was first unveiled as a concept at last year's Paris Motor Show but bosses at the Italian firm have now given the green light for a limited production of just 20 for sale.
Mark Tisshaw, of Autocar magazine, said: "The Sesto Elemento is a fantastic technical showcase and it's going to cost an awful lot of money but Lamborghini will have no shortage of interest."
The Sesto Elemento tops the list of £1million-plus supercars, ahead of the £1.6million Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, the £1.5million Koenigsegg CCXR, the £1.4million Pagani Zonda Roadster F and the £1.2million Aston Martin One-77.

Luxuryes.com said similar facts, but with a  higher price tag:
"Revealed as a concept car at the Paris Motor Show last year, Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is coming to the selected showrooms in October 2011. With a 5.2 litre V10 engine and entire body constructed from visible, matte-finish carbon fiber the car is capable of reaching 62 mph in 2.5 seconds. Italian luxury car maker Lamborghini will produce only 20 units carrying a price tag of 1.9 million euro($2.9 million)"

Oh man what a beauty!

All I have to say is.. HOOOOOLY CRAP that's a lot of money to blow on a track toy. At least the Bugatti can be driven around town. But then again, IF I had the money to buy one, i'd probably drive it on the highway anyways. Especially out in the middle states where there is almost no one of the state road.
Don't forget to vote in the poll for the next topic (to the right of the post title)

On a side note, if anyone plays NFS: Hot Pursuit, you can play as this car. (lol @0:45 like a cop car would ever be a Diablo SV)
